How to get to Pisa: By
train: The
closest train station is Pisa Centro. From there there
are buses to the town. the center is 10 minutes walking distance from the
station, while CRM De Giorgi and the Math
Department are approximately 20-25 minutes distance walking from the town.
Buses cannot arrive in the very center of the town, which is a pedestrian
area. You may ask ask your hotel for the best way
to get there from the station. The train schedules can be obtained from the
official timetable, or alternatively at the DB, which also
covers non-italian train stations. By
plane: · Pisa International Airport is very close to the town. You can reach the town either by taxi (at
the cost of approximately 15 euros), or by train (look here, for trains from Pisa Aeroporto to Pisa
Centro), or by bus (see here for the schedule). Other
convenient airports could be: · Roma
Fiumicino International Airport (about 300 Km away). From Fiumicino
airport, catch a train to Roma Termini railway station, and then from Roma
Termini to Pisa Centrale station. · Florence Peretola International Airport (about 90 Km away). From Peretola
airport, take a bus to Firenze Santa Maria Novella railway station and
a train to Pisa Centrale station. |
