Example of Source File Mauro-TeX

Jean-Pierre Sutto

update January 10, 2001

1  Source Mauro-TeX

What follows is a portion of a Mauro-TeX source file related to the transcription of a proposition in a two-witnesses mathematical text. The same file in postscript format (for printing use; here converted to jpeg format in order to display it) and in html format (Internet version) follows.

When using a good text-editor, the LATEX controls and the parameters in the source file Mauro-TeX will be automatically displayed in colours. Both the control codes of end of line and the lines beginning with % are not read by Mauro-TeX: in this way the text is more easy read and well-suited to the needs of transcription and edition.

2  Postscript (Converted in jpeg)

After the LATEX preprocessor has finished the compilation (supplemented by the Mauro-Tex macros) and after the figures have been inserted, the printed text looks as follows (the postscript format has been converted and adapted to the resolution of a standard display):

3  Web and html

The fragment of the Internet edition that follows does not take into account the links among the propositions, the apparatus or the notes. Our suggestion is to display a complete proposition within its own context (e.g. the one corresponding to the portion just presented) in order to be allowed to open windows and look at the critical apparatus, at the variant readings, and at the editorial notes. It is also possible to consult the page Help and obtain more information about visiting the pages of the present site.
