Meeting in Iceland will be the next deadline, materials should be almost finished by then and read by everybody. Just to remind everybody, meeting will be Sept 2-6, with Sept. 3,4,5 as working days. Departure day

Summary of the discussion for Pre - courses: the structure of the pre - course can be quite different, depending on the concrete possibilities to implement arguments and materials from the e – book in pre - course with future and in service teachers. Common basis is the choice of arguments and topics developed from different partners in the project. The flexible structure of the pre - course is closely connected with similar property associated with the E - book and whole work on the project, this choice was done with the intention to give maximal possibilities for developing new ideas and stimulate the creative content of the dynamical approach in teaching mathematics instead of following formal algorithmic approach. This specific flexible organization was already planned in the proposal, where for pre - course one can find the following description:

DK - main arguments – chi square distributions, GPS in nature, interaction with AT and SK teams, create network,

IS students were supposed to choose one article from all materials of the E - book, read it and write an evaluation (3 – 4 pages) + fill in the evaluation form, Euclidean eggs, elementary introduction to Geogebra, use of geogebra for study of functions

BG - around Napoleon problem, topics from application of geogebra to find loci, special topics for primary school teachers

AT fractals, GPS, We shall have three activities: One with two teachers who will pilot in their classrooms (one geometry, one geography), one whole semester course with 30 pre-service teachers, and one with in-service teachers from teacher training day, between 30 and 50 teachers.

SK precise table is presented, GPS, topics from models in chemistry,

IT – complex numbers in geometry, billiard problems, history and mathematics, probability topics, students (future teachers) prepared projects, pre course of about 40 hours with 20 participants

Summary of decisions:

  • Partners will modify materials as to above-highlighted suggestions

  • Deadline for materials in final form: end of October 2011

  • Deadline for materials translations: end of January 2012

  • Try to keep materials around 50-60 pages (EN) and 60-70 pages (local language)

  • SK team: check about creating database for E-book

  • Acronym DynaMAT will be kept, homepage name will be changed to dynamathmat.eu to avoid complications with Dynamat company

  • Create search engine and keywords for the E-book

  • Upload financial information and copies of evidence (tickets, boarding passes, receipts [if not on daily allowance base]), using credentials that Vladimir sent to contact person of each team

  • Next meeting in Sofia, Bulgaria, December 7-11. Send flight (or arrival/departure) info to BG team ASAP!
